Padova is an active medium-size city known for its ancient Universita' di Padova (founded in 1222), one of the more prestigious in Italy). Among the places of interest in this small jewel in the north-east of Italy: Prato della Valle (the biggest circus in Europe), the Basilica of Sant' Antonio (a cathedral well worth more than a visit), works by Donatello and Giotto, the observatory used by GalileoŠ and last but not least, Venice is a half an hour by train.
The linguistic and cultural institute "Il Mulino" is located in Legnaro, a small town 15 kms from the centre of Padua. Three faculties of the Universita' di Padova recently moved here, giving Legnaro a lively atmosphere unknown to other towns of this size. The chances to get involved in the local cultural life are much higher than in any big city, without the hassles of the tourist places, like higher prices, criminality, traffic, and so on.
Pick-up from Venice airport on your first day and trips to Padua, Venice and other nearby tourist attractions are included in all of our courses.
